HOW TO PROTECT YOUR CHILD LEGALLY AND FINANCIALLY

Workshop for Parents of Children and Young Adults with Special Needs
This presentation educates parents and caregivers about estate planning for special needs families. The speakers will review government benefits available to individuals with disabilities; discuss guardianship; and
explain what supplemental needs trusts are, how to fund them, and how they differ from other kinds of trusts. Speakers will discuss how to select trustees, accumulating and protecting assets without jeopardizing benefits, and the importance of writing wills and letters of intent for future caregivers.

Every parent of a child with disabilities must make decisions designed to protect that child for the rest of his or her life, and this seminar provides and outline for that critical process.
