We are all concerned about the ongoing war in Ukraine and are looking for ways to show our support and help the Ukrainian community and many refugees. We have gathered information for those that are interested in making a difference. Governor Kathy Hochul announced the launch of a new website containing resources offered by New York State and its partners to help Ukrainian people and their friends and allies here in New York. We have also been in communication with two JCC’s in the region that are directly serving those left in Ukraine and refugees entering into Poland. Donations to those JCC’s relief efforts go directly to providing supplies on the ground.
The JCC of Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. It has an incredible need for funds to purchase diapers, formula for infants, warm clothes, etc. as they just accepted over 300 orphans that were relocated from Kharkov – https://www.charidy.com/
The JCC in Krakow, Poland is taking in a very large number of refugees fleeing Ukraine. They are also in need of dollars to provide food, supplies etc. https://www.
