A new series with Dr. Steven Levey addressing the hot issues currently facing families
Topics include:
– Different strategies on how best to communicate with your child, so they will actually listen, to what you have to say.
– How to identify the best places and times to have a conversation with your child.
– How to recognize when a conversation is getting out of control and how best to get it back on track.
– How to work with your child so that everyone can get their needs met.
– How to handle, and stay in control, if/when your child says something hurtful or threatening.

Dr. Steven Levey is a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He received his Masters in Social Work as well as his PhD from Yeshiva University, Wurzweiler School of Social Work.
Dr. Levey is the Director of Counseling at the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County (grades 7-12) and has held this position since 2007.
Dr. Levey specializes in working with adolescents, families, couples and groups.
