Parkinson’s Support Group

The JCC of the Greater Five Towns, in cooperation with the Parkinson’s Support Group Foundation of Long Island, Inc., provides a weekly yearround Tuesday Activity Center at the JCC from 11:00am-2:00pm. The purpose of this group is to bring together Parkinsonians, spouses, and their families, in order to help them better understand the nature of the condition, gain confidence, courage and optimism, learn about proper exercise and “come out” and join in community activities.

The scope of activities includes physical exercise, speech, handwriting, relaxation, socialization, discussions, entertainment and rap sessions to discuss common problems. For further information, call the JCC at 516-569-6733.
